Christmas Toy Drive
Christmas is a special time for gifts and celebrations for families and children around the world. And it is no different for families and children in San Ramón. For families living in poverty, however, celebrating Christmas can be especially challenging.
| Spreading Joy to Children and Families
CAA is committed to brightening the lives of children and families in our area, and each year we hold a Christmas toy drive. CAA leadership identifies families in need of help and during November and early December CAA members and friends provide the funds to purchase toys and games for children. Volunteers wrap the dolls, trucks, soccer balls, games, stuffed animals, etc. that are provided and then deliver them to the children and families in time for Christmas.
While the purpose of this activity is to provide gifts of the season to others, we actually receive a significant gift for ourselves –the knowledge that with our goodwill and effort we are able to make a difference in the lives of many children and their families in our adopted community.
